CHILDHOOD COMES FULL CIRCLE
February 23, 2011
Kisha Milling spins a pair of hula hoops while jamming with fellow Kihei residents Star Ridgell (left) and Rhiannon Gabrielle on Tuesday afternoon at Kamaole III Beach Park. Milling says a person can burn up to 600 calories an hour hula hooping. “It keeps your body fit. It relaxes your mind, and it’s plain fun,” Milling said. “It’s something we all did as kids. I urge people to step back into the hoop.” A group of hula hoop enthusiasts meets from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays at Kamaole III. Milling said she performs and teaches hula hoop. Her website can be found at hoopnatyze.com.
